I am posting only one runner-up - this one was very close to #150. This gives me the opportunity to experiment with the formula. I have almost figured it out, but as you can see the points and iCM link are not yet as they should be.

How do I extract a list of iCM URL's from my iCM list? And how do I tell OpenOffice Calc that I want the cell value to be as it is displayed in the cell itself?

Posted Image

By the way, I have collected all 150 screenshots yesterday.

To extract the links, you have to export the iCM list and the csv will give you all the links neatly. Just copy-paste them into your sheet.

I don't use OpenOffice, but in Office I use the "Round off (Afronden)" formula to round off to two decimals in the cell with the text for the post. Like this: "&AFRONDEN(A2;2)&" points, "

Also; result (almost) :circle:

Thanks! I thought I had already exported the iCM list, but I was looking at the wrong file I guess. The result post is now updated. The perfectionist in me badly wants to have a decimal point instead of a comma, but I'll focus on posting the real results with screenshots now. :P

I think he means this one, and he's probably right: https://www.icheckmovies.com/lists/actionexclamation+the+action+movie+a-z/

It's too early to say if it's better or worse than the Time Out list: https://www.icheckmovies.com/lists/time+outs+100+best+action+movies/senorroboto/

I remember the first time I saw this, and I saw the outtakes at the end of Michelle Yeoh jumping a motorcycle onto a moving train multiple times to get it right and exclaimed "I want to marry that woman!"

This did not sit well with my girlfriend, who was sitting next to me.

Yes. The A-Z list. That doesn't have any film from the past 20 years. And has sooooo many truly awful action films.

I suspect I'll be at about 145/150 on this forum list. And they've all been good films so far!

This is hardly surprising, the list is based on a book from 1997 (that has seen no updates or further editions TTBOMK) and the intent of the book was not to compile the best action actions movies (as we try to do here), but rather: "More than 250 of today's blockbusters, plus revered classics of past action movies, are rated and reviewed". Which in itself is a worthwhile goal and a good reason to make it official but I'd welcome a third action list (the second being the imdb top50 action genre list) where focus is on the quality of the movies.

Okay. I don't see the A-Z list as our list, so that's why I was confused.

I'm posting the results with large intervals, not only because I have to work and sleep, but also considering the aftermath of the 500<400 thingy. Shall I pick up the pace a bit or just keep dropping a post once in a while until movie number 501 will be revealed in the other thread?

I voted only for pure action films, or films with a couple of incredible action scenes. I emphasized cinematic and stunt brilliance. Therefore, there are many films here I love, but didn't vote for. I think an Action list should showcase pure action. The only western I voted for is The Wild Bunch under the circumstances.

Well, let me know if the new Action list is going to go the way of the other Action list (or whatever list was unofficialized). I finally broke down and rented Bad Boys (1995) this weekend, but I can return it without watching it (unless Bad Boys somehow makes this list).

Me too. You can pick up the pace a bit, Lammetje, as far as I'm concerned. Especially now funky isn't doing the <400 anymore and that one is also lagging. You don't have to post every hour or less, but more than two post a day would be fine.

Whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when they come for you.

I quite enjoy the original... probably my second favorite Michael Bay movie, next to The Rock. The sequel, however, is lacking... like far too many sequels.

There is zero chance this list is going to be official. The chances of A-Z losing official status are incredibly small, and certainly not in the foreseeable future.

I mean... those are pretty much his good action films. The first Transformers has some nostalgia, but still isn't a good film. Haven't seen The Island; maybe that's ok?
