I saw this before the poll due to Arthur's recommendation. I was pleasantly surprised; Greek films tend to be hit or miss with me, and this one was a hit. Terse but not melodramatic, realistic but not too weighty, and overall well put together for my likings. If I can find more films like this then I may start to appreciate Hellenic cinema more.

That's a very good movie that has got kind of a cult status in Greece. In my opinion it deserves its position in many Best Greek Films' lists. Kostas Manoussakis is not exactly what you would call a prolific director, but he successfully manages to build the tension here. Anestis Vlahos was used to playing perverted roles like the one in this film.

I'm surprised and glad this film gets a mention here, even more as "Film of the Week". It's a relatively obscure piece even among the Greek audience.

A good melodrama, that makes us enjoy the mind of an unstable man ,and practically feel fear and crazy in his head.
Beautiful black and white cinematography as well a great areas, visually I have no objections,
but somehow annoy me the sterility of other character (his parents) They should more deeply.

Not into rape movies, sorry.
Ms. 45, which is also a rape movie, is among your favourites.

Love that Greek visual-aural style (an Italian movie of the same era would sound grating).
But could have used more plot.
