I'm in, but I won't watch much. I have 9 Italian films on UNESCO left, but 5 of them are over 2 hours long, so probably won't watch them all. 6 is my goal if no other film comes my way.

I'm in - have 14 to go on 101 film and one country list.

Just to be clear, do spaghetti westerns count regardless of the language they're in?

If you want to count them as Italian that's fine by me, but they should have at least something Italian of course. That's true for any other film as well.

I have the dubious record of watching only one film in the last couple of challanges. Hope to change it this time.

OK, how do you fit 4 elephants into a Fiat?
Seriously, I found this tough going for the first half, but the ending was worth it.

I'm in. I've been in the mood to watch some Fulci and Argento films.

1. Diabolik (1968) 7/10

Mario Bava is one of my favorite directors and he does not disappoint in this film adaption of the Italian comic, Diabolik. It reminds me of early James Bond films, but with an anti-hero instead of a good secret agent. The theme song for this film, Deep Down by Ennio Morricone, is incredibly hypnotizing. I never thought a couple laying on a bed full of money could be so beautiful.

my first Ferreri film. Enjoyably surreal in parts, but felt long at just 90 mins.

2. Paura nella cittā dei morti viventi (1980) 6/10 - Not the greatest zombie film, but it had its moments
3. Sette note in nero (1977) 6/10
4. Il profumo della signora in nero (1974) 8/10 - I loved the last 40 minutes or so of the movie. Certain things were somewhat predictable, while other things were mind-blowing randomness that I could have never expected

good film, rather episodic, with some episodes more interesting than others (and some parts felt a bit rushed). always like Alberto Sordi

I thought it was never going to end. The odd visually inspired moment surrounded by endless Fellini masturbation. Even Mastroianni couldn't save this.

5. Under the Olive Tree (1950)

Bebo's Girl and Under the Olive Tree were both great. BG with a stunning Claudia Cardinale and UtOT with Lucia Bose. Gorgeous cinematography in both of them. Definitely recommend looking into both of them.

I probably won't be that active in this challenge but I might as well join.

1. I soliti ignoti [Big Deal on Madonna Street] (1958) - 6/10

A pretty great cast and it's also a fun comedy without being too silly. So far Mario Monicelli is a pretty great director.
