I think I'll join in, although not with full force. So I'll say about 10 films, that's something that sounds reasonable. :)

I said I'm not going to join challenges this month, but as I'm already working on DC for the Glass Half Full challenge, I may post some eventually.

1. Flåklypa Grand Prix / The Pinchcliffe Grand Prix (1975, Ivo Caprino) 7/10

Nice, whimsical animated film about an inventor and his friends building a race car. Fine handcraft with great attention to detail.

Really good western, that basically had no flaws but also little to really stand out to reach higher levels for me.

Couldn't agree more, saw it again recently and was blown away by how good it is.

Neither friend nor enemy. :cowboy:
Except spaghetti westerns, for those I have a weak spot.
I easily saw how Winchester would work perfectly for real western afficiandos, but classic westerns have to be unusual to really stand out for me, and while this was really well made, it was "just" regular western fare overall, and that's nothing to get me really excited.

3. O slavnosti a hostech / The Party and the Guests (1966, Jan Nemec) 7/10

Reminded me a bit of Bunuel (throw a group of people in a slighty bizare situation with unknown rules, slightly surreal ans satirical) but with a Czech New wave touch. I can't say that I really loved it, but it was for sure a very interesting and mostly entertaining viweing. Obviously the whole thing was an allegory on the Czech regime (or Soviet overlords) of the time, but I sure didn't get it all.

4. Limite (1931, Mario Peixoto) 5/10

Has some very nice shot compositions and some well edited seuqences, but its "pure cinbema"-ish nature gave me too little of a structure to keep my interest and keep me engaged. So I was not very attached to it and honestly quite bored.

Very nice British noir, with Richard Attenborough playing an immoral and slighty psychopathic small time mob boss. Good characters and an absolutely excellent ending.
