Try it now that I've actually made it public. (Didn't realise it WASN'T public until now, and I certainly never set it to "friends only"...)

1. Bloodlust! (1961) Ralph Brooke 3/10

I started with something classic. MST3K. And what a funny episode it was. The movie of course is crap as usual, but the comments were very good

2. Fight, Zatoichi, Fight (1964) Kenji Misumi 6/10

Did he just try to breastfeed a baby? Yes he did! Oh whatever... It's Zatoichi. It's the 8th installment and it's just like most of the other Zatoichi I've seen. Fun to watch.

The only Jesus franco films I've enjoyed are Nachts, wenn Dracula erwacht because of Christopher Lee and Los ojos siniestros del doctor Orloff. All the rest were crap or mediocre at best, like Vampyros Lesbos.

ZZZAPP !! Here I am, stuck in early Twenty-First century... I might as well join the future classic Cult.Drive-in challenge...

01 - Trancers, by Charles Band (1984) 7/10

Awfully campy, but also quite fun, with synth music, singing hoboes and dancink punks...

3. Adventures of Zatoichi (1964) Kimiyoshi Yasuda 6/10

After all these installments, I think this could be more memorable than most of hem, but still I couldn't give it more than a 6

4. Mimic (1997) Guillermo del Toro 4/10

I don't know. Sometimes mediocrity is worse than plain bad.

5. Immagini di un convento (1979) Joe D'Amato 2/10

This is plain bad but I respect Joe for the crap he never ceases to serve us. Don't get me wrong, Anthropophagus is a great film.

I'm really interested in the history of cult films and why they become cult films. Tbh, I don't understand why Showgirls is considered one of the worst films of all time. It does have some cringe lines and the protagonists dancing is a bit weird. But I think the actually story isn't that bad. Anyone share any views on this film?

I've seen 7 of his films and Orloff is the lone one I liked, everything else has dreck.

3. Deadly Hero-1975: 8/10

Essentially it's Taxi Driver if Travis Bickle were a cop, it's pretty good and yet another shining example of pure '70s New York (and I was the first check on ICM for it B) )

4. Absentia-2011: 10/10

This is gonna be considered a genre classic in about 10-15 years, I guarantee it.

I thought the plot was utterly unoriginal and every other aspect of the film was bad in a way that it didn't respect the viewer's intelligence. I gave it 1/10 and I stand behind it. It's bad like a Paris Hilton movie, not like Manos the hands of fate (that is awesomely bad).

I never saw it, but I do recall the mass critical condemnation it received at the time, which makes its more recent reassesment as some sort of camp classic baffling to me. Maybe it'd make sense if I actually watched it. I'm fascinated by the process of cultification too, possibly because I've never really understood just how and why some films get elevated to the "pantheon"...
